WHAT IS AN FMD?
a Flame Mitigation Device or FMD, is placed in a gas can and acts as a safety feature that reduces the risk of fire or explosion. It works by creating a barrier between the flammable vapors and the environment, reducing the risk of ignition. It is a necessary safety tool that should be used on all gas cans, whether for industrial use or in your home.
HOW DOES OUR SURECAN FMD WORK?
Our patent pending design creates a path that is tortuous for a flame/spark to be able to propagate the fumes inside the fuel can. The FMD reduces the chance of the flame/spark igniting the fumes inside the can.
*AN FMD DOES NOT MAKE IT SAFE TO POUR GASOLINE OR ANY FUEL ON A FIRE OR ANY IGNITION SOURCE. THEY ARE AN ADDED SAFETY MEASURE TO HELP PROTECT THE USER OF CAN.
